Essence of Christmas

Christmas is celebrated to remember the birth of of Jesus Christ, who Christians believe is the Son of God. Christmas is the day where all have fun and all is happy because it is the time of the year where we give gifts receive gifts but the most exciting of all is that in Christmas everyone in the family enjoy one big feast and have fun until the day runs out. But what is really the essence of Christmas?

In Christmas we all think that everyone is having fun but we have to remember that all of us are not in the same position. Some families doesn't experience that so called Christmas gifts and other events that happen in Christmas. In Christmas we all must remember that it is not always just receiving gifts where we experience joy it is the part where we give gifts to those who are in need and that is the true essence of Christmas it is the time of the year where we all give gifts to those who are in need and at experience a warm feeling in our hearts when we give them gifts.

The true essence of Christmas is giving gifts, giving love and giving fellow people the best time of their year because Christmas is the time of the year where all have fun and joy in our own little way. This is the true essence of Christmas and that is giving.

Equality is the Key!

All of us are meant to be equal because God created us and because of that all of us has equal rights but in the years that have passed some people have been treated poorly and because of this many incidents have been going on in the world like terrorism. In this world that we live in there are those that are given opportunities but some are not given and sometimes this is because of the discrimination in our world.

We, human beings, have formed a society based on certain rules that govern our actions and behavior. We share mutual materials and while building up our lives we commit decisions everyday that lead us to differing paths. Some of us are more successful than others due to various reasons. Many people question whether the success someone has experienced is due to hard work and entitlement or simple luck. Success itself is a vague concept and has its own connotations for everyone. It may mean love, power, resources or anything else but in this world we live in we have to treat each other equally because all of us are special.

Despite having different lives with different success in life we all must learn to give respect and to treat people equally because all of us have rights and all of us need opportunities to ensure a better future for all of us in the days to come.

Kahirapan ay Wakasan, Karapatan ng Bata Ipaglaban

Once again, the Municipality of Pilar celebrated Children’s Month on October 2013 with the theme “Kahirapan ay Wakasan, Karapatan ng Bata Ipaglaban”. In line with the celebration our school also celebrates this month. Our school wants
to help all those who are in need especially children that are associated with 4p's.

All children have their rights, including teenagers like me. But for some reason, many of our rights are abused. Examples are crime syndicates that take advantage of the poverty in our country. Crimes and violations of our laws slow down our economy and that is why many people are poor. For that reason, we are implementing campaigns to help end poverty like the Pilar Pride Campaign. The campaign can inspire people to follow the rules and regulations of our Marine Protected Areas like DEMSAMAR and PMMP, and help conserve our marine resources. We all know that we cannot end poverty easily, but at least we can lessen it and that is why we should not underestimate what campaigns can do. Instead, we the children should be proud of it. Now that we have the Pilar Pride Campaign, we should volunteer and be a part of it. We should tell our classmates about it and our family members as well. In this way, we help insure food security in our municipality; promote our right to survival and good nutrition; and that will lead the way to ending our problem of poverty.

So we must always remember that we are all equal with equal rights no matter the gender we are all creations of GOD and GOD created us to be equal and have a peaceful life.
